Position Summary:
This role involves performing essential tasks related to the upkeep and functionality of both portable and recycled water irrigation systems, encompassing both manual and automated systems across the university grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a variety of advanced semi-skilled irrigation tasks, including the installation, repair, and maintenance of manual and automated irrigation systems and associated equipment.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in advanced semi-skilled irrigation work.
Work Environment and Conditions:
- The position requires spending extended periods engaged in manual labor, including digging to access irrigation components. This may involve working in confined spaces, kneeling for extended durations, and handling tools in various weather conditions.
Additional Requirements:
- A valid California driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory, along with enrollment in the DMV Employer Pull-Notice Program.
- A satisfactory background check is required.
- The university maintains a Tobacco-Free environment.
Compensation:
- The hourly wage ranges from $23.70 to $25.16, with a full range of $21.48 to $28.35.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
