As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant, your role will involve supporting technicians in performing repairs, inspections, and facility projects essential for the seamless operation of our business. We are looking for a collaborative team member who can effectively work together to fulfill work orders and preventive maintenance tasks that drive outstanding performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and act on all verbal directives from production and maintenance management.
  • Complete assigned written work orders promptly.
  • Execute daily tasks outlined in the Facilities checklist.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the water boiler, including checking the chemical tank, releasing pressure, and monitoring salt levels, making necessary adjustments.
  • Assist mechanics as required.
  • Request and follow up on necessary parts.
  • Maintain daily communication with the maintenance team regarding any issues.
  • Perform daily facility walk-through inspections, addressing and resolving issues immediately.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety within the maintenance shop and surrounding areas.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks at the warehouse as needed.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Fulfill additional duties as directed by any lead, supervisor, manager, or other leadership personnel.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • GMP/HACCP Certification (in-house), along with sit-down and stand-up forklift certification, and boom/scissor lift certification.

Shift: 1st

Hourly Rate: $23.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally applicable to candidates meeting the specified qualifications and requirements outlined in this job description. Additional compensation may be available for candidates exceeding these qualifications.
