Speech Pathologist

We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Sentara Careplex Hospital. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve speech, swallowing, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and evaluate patients with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills
- Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Supervise and mentor students and new staff members
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology or related field
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- 1 year of experience in speech pathology or related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
