Job Title: Neighborhood Partnerships Administrator

Job Summary:

The Neighborhood Partnerships Administrator will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive community engagement program, working closely with Village departments, residents, and community groups to build strong relationships and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging. This role requires a strong understanding of community and civic engagement principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive community engagement program, including planning, organizing, and facilitating community events and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community groups, residents, and Village departments to foster a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on community and civic engagement principles and practices, including IAP2 and DEIB.
  • Collaborate with Village departments to develop and implement policies, programs, and initiatives that support community engagement and partnerships.
  • Train Village personnel on community and civic engagement principles and practices.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of organizational training and competency building on effective, resident-engagement customer service principles and practices.
  • Manage and continuously improve the Village's special events and film permitting processes.
  • Establish and implement methods and administrative systems to continuously assess the performance of Village community and civic engagement programs, services, and initiatives.
  • Assess the needs for language and disability access in support of community and civic engagement and collaborate with the DEI and Communications and Engagement offices to ensure language and disability access needs are addressed via related Village policy, programs, and/or services.
Requirements:
  • Five (5) years of community and/or civic engagement work, with at least three (3) years of experience in municipal government, preferably in a council-manager government setting, or a related field.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration or public policy, business administration, public affairs, public and/or community relations, urban planning, political science, psychology, sociology, social justice, or a related field.
Working Conditions:

This position will work in an office environment, with sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time and sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time. No environmental hazards.
