Position Overview
Nuvance Health is actively seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician Assistant to join our esteemed team at Norwalk Hospital. This full-time role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with skilled healthcare professionals in a well-respected community hospital.
Located in a vibrant suburban area, our facility is committed to providing exceptional patient care. The position entails responsibilities such as patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharges, all while collaborating closely with attending physicians in the field of Hospitalist Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver primary medical care to patients under physician supervision, focusing on recovery from acute conditions and management of chronic illnesses.
- Engage in daily patient care activities, including assessments and treatment planning.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Valid Connecticut State PA license and DEA registration.
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Commitment to ongoing education with a requirement of 50 CME credits every two years.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Prior experience in a Hospitalist or Internal Medicine setting is preferred, although new graduates with relevant clinical rotations will be considered.
- Availability for Monday to Friday day shifts.
