Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Foundations for Living. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition Services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by preparing and serving nutritious meals.

Responsibilities

  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our patients, taking into account their medical conditions, allergies, and preferences.

Food Preparation and Service

Prepare and serve meals in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all food is presented in a visually appealing and appetizing way.

Inventory Management

Manage food inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure that we have a sufficient stock of ingredients and equipment.

Cleanliness and Sanitation

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with one to three years of experience in a food service or culinary role.

Certifications and Training

ServSafe certification is preferred, and completion of a culinary training program is highly desirable.
