About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components, equipment, and machinery
  • Apply engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, and machines
  • Coordinate with project managers to work on projects and understand the scope of work
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting equipment and software to create prototypes
  • Analyze test results and make design or system changes as needed
  • Oversee the manufacturing process for machinery or equipment
  • Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
  • Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget
  • Utilize Finite Element Analysis for product testing and design
  • Use Matlab for complex mathematical computations and simulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant design software
  • Strong understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis
  • Advanced skills in Engineering Design, Project Engineering, and Product Design
  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis and Matlab
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Proven history of successful project management
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus
