Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers essential patient support including comfort care, monitoring vital signs, personal hygiene, and mobility assistance.
  • Acts as a communication bridge between patients and nursing staff to relay concerns and changes in condition.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and team members.
  • Ensures precise and timely documentation related to patient care.
  • Engages in the transfer of relevant information regarding patients and departmental requirements.
  • Completes assigned tasks following competency validation.
  • Assists patients with therapeutic transfer methods while promoting independence.
  • Adapts care approaches based on patients' preferences and interests.

Qualifications

  • No formal education required.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

  • Completion of a nursing aide training program.
  • Successful completion of STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) or CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) certification, or completion of a nursing program with clinical experience.

Experience

  • Preferred recent experience in healthcare environments.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Professional interaction with both staff and patients.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings.

Training

Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is preferred.
