We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Physics to join our faculty at Alabama A&M University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Physics, maintaining a strong research program, and participating in departmental, college, and university service activities.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Teach at least twelve (12) semester hours per semester, including undergraduate and graduate courses in Physics.
- Research: Maintain a strong research program, seeking funding to support graduate students, and publishing research in scholarly journals.
- Service: Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities, including completing teaching, research, and service annually.
- Education: Ph.D. in Physics with specialization in Materials Science, Nuclear Physics, Medical Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, Engineering Physics, or a closely related field.
- Experience: At least 1-3 years of teaching experience at a university level, with demonstrated teaching excellence indicated by research presentations and teaching assessments.
- Research: Commitment to research, evidenced by publication in scholarly journals and receiving external funding.
