About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electric Power Line Technician to join our team at NorthWestern Energy. As a key member of our Distribution Operations department, you will be responsible for performing power line installation, maintenance, and service work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain high-voltage power lines and equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical outages and perform repairs
  • Work at heights, including ladder work, climbing, and bucket work
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as diggers, trenchers, and bucket trucks
  • Remove tree limbs near electric lines
  • Work overtime as needed to respond to emergency situations
  • Document project planning and completion
  • Assume leadership roles in emergency situations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman Lineman Certification
  • Valid Commercial driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Bucket truck and pole top rescue certification
  • Commitment to safe working practices and knowledge of safety policies/procedures
