Role Description

The Maintenance Director is responsible for developing maintenance solutions for AAR WASS. This includes developing maintenance policy and procedure development and publication for all current and future AAR WASS operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with the AAR WASS Operations Manager and AAR WASS Director of Logistics Support and Services to develop operationally sound executable missions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance training policy and ensure currency and qualifications of all mechanics.
  • Ensure all required Maintenance reports are submitted on time and accurately to applicable AAR WASS Program Management offices.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and performance parameters pertinent to Maintenance and ensure all maintenance contractual requirements are met.
  • Perform financial analysis, prepare specialized Maintenance budgets to include staffing and operational needs.
  • Monitor Maintenance budget, oversee financial well-being of Maintenance by exercising cost controls.
  • Report Maintenance information to the AAR WASS Program Manager, and all relevant levels of the AAR WASS staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, Logistics, or related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in acquisition and sustainment of aircraft and aircraft systems.
  • Strong English speaking and written communication skill.
