As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting ongoing construction projects to ensure compliance with city ordinances, building codes, and specifications. Your expertise will help us maintain the highest standards of quality and safety in our city's infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with city ordinances, building codes, and specifications.
- Verify that construction materials and methods meet city standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, including photographs and reports.
- Communicate with the public, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide information and resolve concerns.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of construction work experience.
- Valid Texas Driver License.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
