About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team on a weekend schedule. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, working closely with our experienced surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Set up sterile tables, ensuring all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications are available.
  • Participate in counting sponges, instruments, and other items during surgical procedures.
  • Assist with draping patients and gowning surgical team members.
  • Maintain aseptic conditions throughout procedures.
  • Collect and label specimens removed during surgery, ensuring accurate disposition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including coordinating surgical and clinical schedules, assisting with outpatient clinic flow, and providing information to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology Program accredited through CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of a military surgical technology program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or TS-C) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
