Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Utilize critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or elevate to the care team as necessary.
  • Practice in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics to advocate for patients, uphold their autonomy in decision-making, ensure informed consent, and assist patients and families in expressing self-determination.
  • Prioritize and organize time to optimize patient outcomes, communicate effectively in various formats, and act as a leader/decision-maker to manage interpersonal relationships and mentor colleagues.

Qualifications include a graduate degree from an accredited Nursing Program, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with one year of experience, or an Associate Degree (ADN) prepared nurses with two years' experience. Required licensure/certifications include a Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate, and ACLS Certificate upon hire in certain units.
