Electrophysiology Technician Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrophysiology Technician to work in our department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the performance of electrophysiology procedures, including electrocardiograms and cardiac catheterizations.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including electrocardiogram machines and cardiac catheterization labs.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding cardiovascular health and disease.

Requirements:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
  • Completion of BLS and ACLS certification within 3 months of employment preferred; within 6 months required.
  • Minimum three years of interventional experience preferred.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCES) preferred.
  • No documented corrective action over the last year of employment.
