Electrophysiology Technician Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Electrophysiology Technician to work in our department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to electrophysiology, including preparing patients for procedures, operating equipment, and assisting with data analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures, including explaining the procedure and obtaining informed consent.
  • Operate electrophysiology equipment, including electrocardiograms and cardiac catheters.
  • Assist with data analysis and interpretation of results.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest electrophysiology techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
  • Completion of BLS and ACLS certification within 3 months of employment preferred; within 6 months required.
  • Minimum three years of interventional experience preferred.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCES) preferred.
  • No documented corrective action over the last year of employment.
