Senior Cost Accountant Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute monthly journal entries, including consolidation and end-of-month evaluations.
  • Accountable for various reports and analyses required for management, external directors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee the preparation, proofreading, distribution, and filing of financial reports.
  • Analyze and assess costs related to distribution and storage.
  • Review and suggest enhancements to accounting practices and systems.
  • Reconcile and evaluate intercompany transactions.
  • Provide mentorship to junior accounting personnel.
  • Support special initiatives, year-end processes, and related tasks.
  • Conduct inventory reconciliations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience; CPA designation is advantageous.
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to detailed guidelines.
  • Capable of performing effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP systems is beneficial.

Position Scope and Contribution:

This role involves regular interaction with CF manufacturing sites. Individuals in this position are expected to have a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices. While they will receive supervision, they are anticipated to operate with a degree of independence greater than that of entry-level accountants.

Internal Controls:

Must understand and adhere to established departmental processes designed to support internal control initiatives. It is essential to identify and report any deficiencies in internal controls to department management.
