Lead Data Scientist for Amazon Experiences

We are an interdisciplinary team that combines the talents of science, engineering, and product to develop and deliver solutions that measurably achieve our goal of improving Amazon and Amazonians' lives, wellbeing, and value of work.
In this role, you will be responsible for owning the science strategy and technical implementation innovations for our predictive modeling and forecasting work-streams. You will serve as the strategic science advisor to PXT leaders operating at the Director, VPs, and SVP level.
You will identify opportunities where science investment can have material impact on our long-term objectives or annual goals and build consensus around the needed investments. You will also participate in organizational planning, hiring, mentorship, and leadership development.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of industrial/academic experience in predictive modeling, forecasting, deep learning or related fields.
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Perl, Python or Matlab.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A track record of influencing software shipped at scale using your science expertise.
- Experience working with real-world complex data sets and building models at Amazon scale.
Benefits: Amazon offers a competitive salary ranging from $240,100/year to $350,000/year, dependent on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, financial, and other benefits.
