Position Overview: Mechanical Assembler

The Woodward Niles Facility is seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers to enhance our production capabilities across multiple shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assembly and calibration of final products.
  • Execute assembly and testing procedures for a variety of mechanical items.
  • Engage in the assembly of small-scale products, light subassemblies, and compact units.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to install, align, adjust, and fit components and subassemblies.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and cleanliness of parts as per guidelines.
  • Adhere to assembly protocols to achieve certification for assigned tasks.
  • Apply precision techniques to fulfill engineering specifications.
  • Oversee parts inventory management and storage practices.
  • Accurately complete documentation, including Quality Assurance records.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient mechanical skills with the ability to operate hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, and screwdrivers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with machine setups for production operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Completion of high school or GED.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Compensation:

$17 - $21 per hour
