As a Manufacturing Engineer - Avionics Supplier Development, you'll play a critical role in developing the supply chain infrastructure for our orbital optics assembly. Your expertise will help us reduce costs, increase production rates, and improve yields.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement high-volume production systems for complex orbital optics assemblies
  • Leverage industry best practices to drive cost reduction, production rate increase, and yield improvement
  • Create project plans and statements of work to enable external development of production solutions
  • Analyze Return on Investment (ROI) for capital investment projects at vendor sites
  • Drive vendor production efficiency improvements through robotics and automation
  • Support internal integration processes with troubleshooting and nonconformance resolution
  • Perform root cause analysis of in-process failures
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in process qualification using industry standard methodologies
Preferred Skills:
  • 2 years of software development experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software
  • NX/Unigraphics CAD experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Working proficiency with DFMEA and PFMEA methodology
  • Experience with microelectronics manufacturing processes
  • Six Sigma Belt certification
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations for IQ/OQ/PQ, PDR/CDR, and government customers
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
