Itron is evolving our quality processes to a unified global Quality Management System and is in search of a Principal Quality Engineer to enhance, refine, and support the implementation of standardized quality practices, methodologies, and processes throughout the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
• Lead global Quality reporting, define KPIs, and manage dashboard reporting.

• Collaborate with the Global QMS Audit Manager to create Management Review Presentations.

• Conduct data analysis for all Quality System Data and spearhead global data mining initiatives.

• Establish and drive improvement plans across the organization.

• Implement problem-solving methodologies and preventive actions, ensuring KPI performance, training, coaching, and process compliance.


• Develop and assist in the formulation of Global QMS processes, taking ownership of procedure and methodology definitions, ensuring deployment and adherence.

• Ensure the effectiveness of Change Control Processes.

• Provide Quality engineering support to the organization, ensuring consistent application of quality techniques, including:

• Capability, tolerancing, and materials-related issues.

• Process stability and capability studies.

• Advanced Product Quality Planning activities.

• Control Plans and FMEAs.

• Statistical techniques.

• Measurement System Analysis tools.

• Effectively communicate and reinforce commitment to quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Over 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering.

• Proven experience in defining and deploying Global Quality and Manufacturing Processes.

• Experience managing a certified quality management system.

• Proficient in various quality techniques, including problem resolution methodologies, statistical techniques, Measurement System Analysis tools, Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAP, gage R&R, and Risk Management.

• Internal Quality Auditor experience and project management skills.

• Knowledge of Document and Change Control Processes.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.

Certifications:
• Certification as a Quality Engineer is preferred.

• Demonstrated success in driving continuous quality improvement within engineering and manufacturing environments.

• Formal training and experience as an Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 systems.

Travel:
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
