Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable and effective backend systems to underpin our geospatial cloud database and control framework.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to establish requirements, pinpoint technical solutions, and deliver high-caliber software.
- Enhance the performance and dependability of the backend infrastructure through observability, ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
- Perform code evaluations and offer constructive insights to ensure code excellence and compliance with best practices.
- Remain informed about industry trends and advancements in backend technologies, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our development methodologies.
- Robust technical expertise, including over 5 years of experience in backend software development, emphasizing the creation of scalable, reliable, and easily manageable cloud-deployed services.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, and/or Go.
- Thorough understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven history of effective teamwork in a hybrid or distributed setting.
Wherobots provides a competitive salary, equity, and benefits package. The salary range for this role is $150k-$275k annually.
While we aim to establish a primary engineering presence in specific regions, we offer flexibility and options in the working arrangement for most positions, including remote and/or in-office roles. Please note that the salary range is a guideline, and for candidates who receive an offer, the actual salary will vary based on factors such as work location, seniority, skills, and experience.
