Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at UNC Health. As a Per Diem Physical Therapist, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care to patients in inpatient rehab and acute care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and perform appropriate Physical Therapy evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems, set treatment goals, and devise a treatment plan.
  • Manage resources needed to perform PT treatment plan to accomplish goals set for the patient.
  • Complete PT documentation in the medical record per department guidelines and complete department records for billing and statistics.
  • Manage PT caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
  • Provide clinical supervision and teaching for PT students or staff, plan orientation, caseload, and other learning activities, provide regular feedback and coaching, and evaluate the learner's performance.
  • Plan and coordinate clinical programs in response to patient needs, technologies, clinical practices, regulations, and reimbursement, and provide regular communication with physicians, supervisor, and others regarding PT programs and patients served.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
  • BLS certification.
  • No prior experience required.
Work Environment

This is a Per Diem position, working variable hours with a minimum commitment of one weekend day per month. The position will work primarily in inpatient rehab on the UNC Hospitals-Hillsborough Campus with the option of cross-coverage to acute care on the Hillsborough campus as well as Medical Center.
