Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), a family-owned business with deep roots in the wine and spirits industry, is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Forecaster to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. A background in supply chain, mathematics, finance, or business administration is preferred. Experience in the wine and spirits or distribution industry is a plus.

The Supply Chain Forecaster will be responsible for creating and maintaining forecast models for products, cleansing demand history, and incorporating business intelligence from sales, portfolio managers, and finance. This role will involve coordinating the development of the monthly consensus forecast for suppliers, products, and key customers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Create statistical forecasts: Gather, analyze, and validate data. Execute statistical modeling software. Review resulting statistical forecast model. Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting. Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts.
  • Review demand plans with key stakeholders, sales, finance, PMs (Portfolio Managers), SBD (Supplier Business Development). Present and assess feedback on the various forecasts from sales, PMs, and finance. Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts. Review promotional plans with sales/PMs.
  • Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, regional leaders, finance, and suppliers. Prepare relevant material to promote discussion and decision making. Facilitate and manage demand planning/supplier meetings.
  • Maintain demand planning system and software: Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of product hierarchy. Monitor trends in forecast error. Identify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence. Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process.
