The Patient Services Associate role is essential for delivering outstanding customer support in a collaborative environment, managing all patient-related business activities within the department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling incoming calls and scheduling patient appointments.
  • Facilitating patient check-ins and verifying insurance details.
  • Managing authorizations, pre-certifications, referrals, and charge postings.
  • Conducting initial collections and ensuring accurate billing and maintenance of medical records.
  • Depending on departmental needs, managing business services for various accounts.
  • Availability for late hours, holidays, and weekends may be necessary.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by the department Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum Experience: Less than 1 year in Clerical/Administrative roles is required; experience in Insurance or Customer Service is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

1-2 years of prior experience is required for Lee Health Solutions.

Licensure and Certification:

Licenses: Not required.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required at certain locations within 90 days of hire.
