Job Summary

The Diagnostic Cardiology Technician performs non-invasive, diagnostic cardiology procedures to attain patient response, as directed or prescribed by a physician. This role involves preparing patients, taking and recording responses, identifying and classifying arrhythmias for physician interpretation, and advising physicians of noted abnormalities. Additionally, the technician performs general office duties as assigned, including observing and obtaining information, understanding the range of cardiac testing needed by the patient, and reporting significant findings to care givers to ensure that appropriate care is provided to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-invasive, diagnostic cardiology procedures to attain patient response
  • Prepare patients, take and record responses, and identify and classify arrhythmias for physician interpretation
  • Advise physicians of noted abnormalities and perform general office duties as assigned
  • Observe and obtain information, understand the range of cardiac testing needed by the patient, and report significant findings to care givers

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • EKG Certification
  • CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider
