Overview:
2nd Shift: Week Days, Monday - Thursday

Compensation:
$22.35/hr

Position Summary:

The Stand-Up Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving, shipping, transferring, and storing raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods in a secure and organized manner utilizing powered industrial trucks.

This role is crucial in maintaining the quality of perishable items and overseeing the inventory of all warehouse products. The operator also ensures that packaging and processing areas are supplied adequately to support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement, and foster positive interactions with all team members and visitors.

- Ensure the accurate receipt of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.

- Replenish supplies of packaging and raw materials to production areas as required.

- Unload incoming materials, inspect containers for damage, and document findings accurately.

- Safely and accurately store all bulk warehoused items in designated locations.

- Return production materials to the appropriate warehouse racks post-use.

- Wrap and prepare finished product pallets for distribution.

- Rotate raw and packaging materials upon receipt and when returning to storage after use.

- Ensure all raw materials containers are properly labeled, stored appropriately, and inventoried accurately in the system.

- Identify products for shipment, verify labels and codes, and load the correct quantities onto trucks for delivery.

- Enter inventory information corresponding to received and shipped products accurately and promptly using computer systems.

- Determine labeling requirements and ensure their accuracy.

- Seal trailers for shipment after product loading and final verification is completed.

- Effectively train new and current employees on proper procedures and functions of the position.

- Fill in for other warehouse personnel as necessary.

- Regular attendance is required in accordance with company policies and procedures.

- Perform additional duties/responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:


- Must successfully obtain industrial truck and lift operating certification and adhere to company and OSHA standards.

- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members, management, customers, and vendors.

- Basic mechanical aptitude, familiarity with computer and scanning inventory systems, and strong math skills are essential.


- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating hi-lo, stand-up fork trucks, power jacks, and shrink wrap equipment in a manufacturing environment.


- Ability to read and interpret written and verbal instructions while working safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.

Working Conditions/Environment:
The production environment is loud, and associates are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Exposure to dust, chemicals, and allergens may occur. The role requires sitting, standing, bending, and lifting items over 50 lbs.
