About the Role

GCG is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our Automation and Factory Solutions sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base in the industrial automation market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Product Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of GCG's industrial automation products and solutions to provide customers with best-in-class solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Nurture relationships with existing customers to increase sales revenue and expand product offerings.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including Sales Managers, Technical Resources, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Travel and Customer Engagement: Travel to customer sites as needed to engage with customers and provide solutions.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of B2B sales experience in manufacturing or industrial automation, with a proven track record of sales success.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
  • Previous experience with SalesForce or comparable CRM platform is strongly preferred.
  • Previous exposure to Epicor P21 or comparable ERP system is preferred but not required.
