LPN Caregiver in Prison Setting

Job Details:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at a correctional facility in Winnfield, LA. As an LPN, you will be responsible for conducting health screenings, assessments, and triage for incoming inmates, administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, and monitoring and documenting inmate medical histories and vital signs.
About the Role:
- This position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a correctional or similar healthcare setting, a current and valid LPN license in the State of Assignment, and be eligible to work in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with facility policies and regulations.
