The Opportunity


As a global leader in streaming entertainment, Netflix is dedicated to enhancing member engagement through innovative research. The Product Experience Research team plays a pivotal role in discovering effective strategies to captivate and entertain our worldwide audience.

This Senior Research position is integral to our Growth initiatives, aimed at attracting new subscribers and exploring fresh monetization avenues globally. Your focus will be on enhancing value for our members through the introduction of new ad-supported offerings, presenting a chance to spearhead impactful research on a global scale.

You will take charge of defining, executing, analyzing, and disseminating research studies that yield insights crucial for informed business decisions across the organization.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will work towards delivering engaging, innovative, and inclusive experiences.

Your Responsibilities:
• Identify, prioritize, and manage research roadmaps that provide insights to shape monetization strategies across the organization.


• Collaborate with diverse teams, including Product, Ads, Product Marketing, Design, Data Science, Strategy Planning & Analysis, and Brand to proactively create research initiatives.


• Define, design, execute, and share a variety of research studies that deepen understanding of current and prospective audiences and their experiences globally.

• Discover best practices in both established and emerging research methodologies.

Your Profile:
• Proven experience in product research and/or user experience (UX) research that informs growth and monetization strategies. Experience with subscription services or ad-supported digital products is preferred.

• Expertise in mixed methods research, with hands-on experience in leading comprehensive quantitative and qualitative studies.


• A blend of creative and analytical skills, with the ability to proactively define research questions, select suitable methods, conduct studies, and synthesize findings.

• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to collaborating with multiple teams across the organization.

• A passion for translating research findings into actionable strategic business recommendations.

• Global research experience is highly valued but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits:
Our compensation structure is based solely on an annual salary; we do not offer bonuses. You have the flexibility to choose how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options each year.

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $440,000, determined by market indicators and your specific job family, background, skills, and experience.

Netflix provides a comprehensive benefits package, including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off, while full-time salaried employees are entitled to flexible time off immediately.
