Job Title: Medical Staff Service Manager

Guthrie is seeking a highly skilled Medical Staff Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for promoting system-wide best practices and compliance with state and regulatory standards for credentialing and medical staff functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of centralized credentialing functions, including direct staff management and workload organization.
  • Analysis of applications and supporting documents for completeness and eligibility, with identification and investigation of potential areas of concern.
  • Responsible for RPH Medical staff office functions, including key contact and super user for the ECHO credentialing/provider database software.
  • Liaison between medical staff and administration, maintaining current knowledge of The Joint Commission, AOA, and NCQA credentialing standards, as well as applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Coordination of Medical Staff Bylaws amendments and medical staff policy changes, as well as confidential peer review related activities.
  • Maintenance of confidential physician files, accurate provider information, and physician rosters.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate credentialing staff, conduct audits, complete verification requests, and participate in surveys as necessary.
  • Interacting with multiple departments to meet credentialing/hiring goals of the department and organization.
Requirements:
  • 5 years prior experience performing duties specifically relevant to credentialing in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of credentialing standards and medical staff policies and procedures, as well as Medical Staff Bylaws.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 Suite and Excel required.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and be self-motivated.
