Phlebotomy Technician

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Hardin Medical Center. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, verifying records, and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.

• Draw and collect blood samples from patients
• Verify patient records and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
• Collaborate with nursing personnel to ensure accurate and timely collection of blood samples
• Monitor glucose levels and perform bedside glucose tests
• Perform bleeding-time tests and record results
• Maintain quality results by following department procedures and testing schedule
• Resolve unusual test orders and notify supervisor as needed

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Some blood drawing training required
• Must have 500+ sticks and 2+ years of patient blood drawing work experience
• Certification by a nationally recognized organization required

Prolonged periods of standing and walking are required. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds during a scheduled work shift. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases. Ability to perform effectively in a stressful and fast-paced environment is essential.
