Phlebotomy Technician

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Hardin Medical Center. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing and collecting blood samples from patients, verifying records, and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.

• Draw and collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and finger sticks
• Verify test requisitions and patient identification to ensure accuracy
• Maintain specimen integrity by using aseptic technique and following department procedures
• Collect therapeutic drug-monitoring assays and track collected specimens
• Perform bleeding-times tests and monitor glucose levels
• Resolve unusual test orders and maintain quality results

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 500+ sticks of patient blood drawing experience
• Two years of patient blood drawing work experience
• Certification by a nationally recognized organization

This position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds. You must be able to see with corrective eye wear and hear clearly with assistance. You may be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases, and must be able to handle emergency and/or crisis situations.
