Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Operations Engineer with extensive experience in cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DevOps practices and infrastructure management.

Key Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in cloud environments, with a focus on GCP.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience specifically with GCP.
  • At least 5 years in a DevOps or infrastructure management role.
  • Proficient in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and cloud networking.
  • Experience with private cloud solutions.
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
  • Proficient in tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, and GitLab.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong programming skills in at least two languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) for software design, coding, testing, and delivery.
  • Deep understanding of Google’s technology stack and architecture, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported issues.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Functions.
  • Solid grasp of infrastructure-as-code methodologies and tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and secure coding standards.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years in DevOps or infrastructure management roles.

Additional Information:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification is preferred.
