Job Summary:
The Engineer 1 role is a critical position within our Engineering team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing our HVAC, lighting, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical systems, including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing.
- Identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues, making repairs as needed.
- Ensure all safety systems are operable and functioning properly.
- Conduct visual inspections of mechanical equipment and record readings in a legible and orderly manner.
- Prepare and paint surfaces of building structure, furniture, and equipment using proper application techniques.
- Ensure job sites are clean and orderly after completion of all tasks.
- Respond to guest room calls in a positive, timely, and efficient manner.
- Accurately keep records of assigned tasks according to standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
- 3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Certificates, licenses, and registrations not required.
- Supervisory responsibilities not required.
Working Conditions:
The Engineer 1 role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. This may include overtime and changing hours. The physical demands of the job include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, as well as frequent lifting and/or moving of equipment.
