Job Overview

The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) is in search of a Housing Stability Specialist/Benefit Eligibility & Referral Social Worker C within the Division of Housing Stabilization.

Collaborating with municipalities, local housing authorities, non-profit organizations, and development partners, EOHLC strives to provide affordable housing solutions, financial support, and community assistance.

Role Summary

The Housing Stability Specialist will engage with families facing housing emergencies, evaluate their eligibility for various services, connect them with support programs, aid in securing permanent housing, and prepare cases for administrative appeal hearings. This position reports to the Regional Homeless Supervisor.

Core Responsibilities

  • Represent the Agency during Appeal Hearings
  • Deliver Client Services including assessments, referrals, and support
  • Report Instances of Suspected Abuse
  • Maintain Accurate Record-keeping
  • Oversee Supervision Responsibilities
  • Communicate Effectively with Interagency Partners

Additional Information

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for both in-office and remote work days. The homebase location is in Brockton, MA, with travel required to various locations across the Commonwealth. Salary will be determined based on experience and educational background. A criminal background check is mandatory prior to employment.
