Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will work with patient services to perform blood collection and related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing specimen processing and sending out tasks for all specimen types.
  • Picking up and delivering blood, other sample types, and lab supplies to appropriate areas.
  • Communicating information to the correct personnel.
  • Greeting customers and providing a positive patient service experience.
  • Following venipuncture procedures and maintaining appropriate log sheets.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Formal phlebotomy certification.
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving skills in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Technical proficiency in standard procedures, techniques, and common practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent and long durations of standing and walking.
  • Visual acuity including the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate blood drawing equipment and make measurements.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
