Join Securian Financial Group, a leading insurance company, as an Enterprise Risk Actuarial Consultant. In this role, you will play a critical part in our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, collaborating with cross-functional groups to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that impact our business.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development and implementation of ERM strategies and frameworks to ensure effective risk management.
- Lead the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process, working closely with stakeholders to provide accurate and decision-useful reports.
- Monitor emerging trends, tools, and strategies in ERM, and recommend enhancements to our ERM framework.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage Securian's risk inventory and develop risk reporting to senior leadership.
- Provide actuarial analysis in support of Securian's insurance risk management, including mortality, longevity, morbidity, and policyholder behavior.
- Lead and/or support the development and maintenance of risk management frameworks for Securian's insurance risks, including scenario testing, stress testing, risk appetite, and risk tolerances.
- ASA or near-FSA actuarial designation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Decision-making skills and ability to act independently, with a high degree of initiative and ability to identify ideas and define and complete projects.
- Ability to assess the big picture and complete detailed analysis, and the ability to understand when each is required.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Working knowledge of ERM concepts.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
