Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Under the direction of a Radiologist and Supervisor, you will perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. You will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

• Operate radiographic equipment according to equipment specifications and produce quality radiographs.
• Adhere to infection control and safety practices, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain processors, diagnose processing problems, and take appropriate action.
• Follow good radiation safety practices, including coning, shielding, and film badge monitoring.
• Produce quality images consistently within established protocols.
• Maintain patient records according to department procedure.
• Knowledge of appropriate use of contrast media, including consent forms, type, quantity, and complications.
• Properly assess patients according to exam ordered, with appropriate documentation.
• Provide patient education pertinent to the exam being performed and document in patient records.
• Comply with accurately and completely utilizing RIS according to department standards.

• Licensure or other certifications: ARRT Registry or Registry eligible with 1 year to provide proof of registered status.
• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum Experience: N/A.
• Other: Graduate or graduation eligible of accredited ARRT Program.
