Job Purpose
As a Janitor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests. Your professionalism and attention to detail will reflect the quality of the Progressive Retail Management brand.
Qualifications
This is an entry-level role, and while prior experience is not mandatory, we prefer candidates with:
- 2 years of janitorial experience
- 2 years of floor maintenance experience
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of SDS and chemical safety
- General mechanical maintenance skills
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge every guest sincerely.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance throughout the facility.
- Identify and implement improvements in cleanliness and operations.
- Monitor the property to prevent theft and ensure safety.
- Be flexible with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform tasks with minimal disruption to guest experiences.
- Adhere to safe work practices at all times.
- Report equipment outages and maintain cleanliness tracking.
- Follow company policies and procedures consistently.
Performance Metrics
Your performance will be evaluated based on:
- Meeting cleanliness standards consistently.
- Maintaining supply stock within budgetary guidelines.
- Achieving quarterly attendance exceeding 97%.
Physical Requirements
This position requires physical activities such as bending, lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods. Candidates must be able to lift and handle objects weighing 50 lbs or more safely.
Supervisory Functions
This role does not typically involve supervisory responsibilities. However, you may be designated as a lead on specific projects when working with other janitors.
