Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the hearing health of newborns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Verify insurance information and document hearing screen results accurately.
  • Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, ensuring timely submission of billing.
  • Follow established protocols for security and identification of infants, infection control, and safety awareness.
  • Recognize potential problems and obtain assistance when necessary, in a timely manner.
  • Complete company and hospital orientation, including patient privacy training.
  • Meet employee health requirements and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Requirements
  • Experience working with infants and in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry are required.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments, work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays is required.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift) and push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
