We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Paraprofessional to join our team at Positive Development for Youth & Families. As a Developmental Paraprofessional, you will work one-on-one with our clients in their homes, providing play-based care and support to children and young adults with autism.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one play-based care and support to clients with autism
- Follow personalized plans for each client, reporting progress through our custom mobile app
- Communicate effectively with clients' families to ensure a collaborative approach to care
- Attend clinical lectures and team meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Contribute to a positive and supportive company culture that values diversity and difference
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental differences
- Ability to commit to working for Positive Development for at least 12 months
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license or state ID
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, get up and down from the floor, and actively engage in play with clients
