Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to contribute to the quality and effective operation of our department. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all department activities pertaining to the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceutical preparations, in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and in compliance with the requirements of the Virginia Board of Pharmacy.
  • Ensure proficiency in information systems, including clinical information systems, automated dispensing systems, and vault management systems.
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel, verifying daily activities and participating in performance appraisals.
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments, ensuring timely delivery of pharmacy services.
Requirements:
  • One (1) year of experience working in a hospital as a Pharmacist.
  • PGY 1 and PGY 2 residency experience required.
  • Psych experience or applicable experience preferred.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
