Clinical Pharmacist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Dunn Loring, Virginia.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to contribute to the quality and effective operation of our department. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

• Oversee all department activities pertaining to the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceutical preparations, in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and in compliance with the requirements of the Virginia Board of Pharmacy.
• Ensure the quality and safety of medications, including inspections of medication storage areas and verification of daily activities of Pharmacy Technicians.
• Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel, including Pharmacy Technicians and other staff members.
• Participate in the performance appraisal of Pharmacy Support personnel and ensure Pharmacy services are provided in a timely manner.

• One (1) year working in a hospital as a Pharmacist.
• PGY 1 and PGY 2 residency experience required.
• Psych experience or applicable experience preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
