Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Oral Surgeon during various surgical interventions.
  • Prepare treatment areas for patients by adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct dental x-rays ensuring high diagnostic quality.
  • Thoroughly review and accurately document patient health histories.
  • Act as an infection control officer by implementing sterilization protocols for instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure patient comfort throughout the surgical process.
  • Provide clear post-operative care instructions to patients following surgical procedures.
  • Document vital signs and physician notes during surgical and consultation sessions.
  • Perform administrative tasks utilizing computer systems and practice management software.
  • Safeguard patient confidentiality and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
  • Preferred experience of one or more years in a Surgical or Dental Assistant role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using computers for various tasks.
  • Detail-oriented, punctual, and focused on patient care.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
