Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Hilo Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiopulmonary department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and management of ventilators and other respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous airway management and ventilator support to patients of all ages.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement respiratory care plans.
  • Operate and maintain various respiratory equipment, including ventilators and transport ventilators.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks on equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Current RRT, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with NRP preferred.
  • State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license, with current Hawaii license preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiopulmonary setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Work Schedule

This is a 15-week contract position, working three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours) on a day shift schedule. While we offer a competitive compensation package, there is no guarantee of hours.
