Fleet Maintenance Specialist

Job Overview: As a Fleet Maintenance Specialist at Disability Solutions, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition. You will diagnose issues, manage parts inventory, and charge work orders.

Your key responsibilities will include assisting entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs, building relationships with vendors to get estimates for parts or labor, and interacting with Frito-Lay drivers. This role requires strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • You will use your extensive knowledge to assist entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs.
  • You will build relationships with vendors when getting estimates for parts or labor.
  • You will interact with a variety of Frito-Lay drivers, from professional truck drivers to salespeople.
  • This is a physical job which often involves working in tight spaces under vehicles.
  • You will be responsible for scheduling and prioritizing your work.
  • You will perform preventative maintenance inspections.
  • You will perform light engine repair on water pumps, injectors, and fuel pumps.
  • You will work on major and minor electrical, air systems, and body work, including panels, frames, doors, etc.

Requirements:

  • At least 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work on weekends, holidays, and off-shift.
  • Can lift 50 pounds or more with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without a reasonable accommodation.

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, health insurance, dental and vision, retirement savings benefits, vacation days, and more.
