At Battle Road Digital, we leverage advanced technologies and insights from the gaming sector to shape the future of simulations, modeling, and operational processes through AtomEngine – our proprietary cloud-based game engine that enhances interactive experiences. As we expand, we are in search of a proficient engineering leader to enhance and refine our primary products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the strategic design of system architecture and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Establishing and upholding a cohesive technical vision for the service.
  • Leading and nurturing engineering teams throughout the design, development, launch, and upkeep of essential products.
  • Creating scalable systems that align with and support product and business objectives.
  • Enhancing the performance and scalability of the core platform.
  • Designing scalable and adaptable systems that facilitate ongoing feature enhancements and integration with external systems.
  • Establishing and maintaining accountability for core performance metrics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading and developing successful engineering teams.
  • Expertise in microservices architecture and development.
  • Experience in building scalable game back-end or Platform as a Service (PaaS) systems.
  • Familiarity with parallel computing systems.
  • Knowledge of test automation and best practices in build/release processes.
  • Proficiency in Entity Component System (ECS) frameworks.
  • Experience in gameplay systems and the design and development of game back-end systems.
  • Capability in designing secure network systems.

Physical Work Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and operate a computer and phone for extended periods.
  • Primarily work indoors.
  • Occasional travel may be required (up to 20%).
