Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Server Engineer to play a crucial role in shaping and constructing our game server infrastructure. This role will extend beyond mere gameplay considerations, focusing on optimizing load balancing, enhancing thread utilization, and reducing bandwidth consumption.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust server architectures for our gaming projects.
  • Ensure efficient resource management and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate server solutions with game mechanics.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in C# or Java, with a preference for C#.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience in game development is essential.
  • Familiarity with network and client/server programming.
  • Knowledge of dynamic distributed systems.
  • Expertise in threading and concurrency management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of game systems, including combat mechanics, physics, and pathfinding.
  • Experience with database management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing monitoring and fault-recovery systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting solutions such as AWS.
  • Experience in GPGPU programming.
  • Willingness to guide and mentor junior engineers.
Additional Skills:
  • Experience with MongoDB or similar document-oriented databases.
  • A degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with functional programming languages (e.g., LISP, OCaml, Haskell).
