About the RoleThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)/Charge Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions on the 4 West Medical/Surgical Ortho Unit during the designated shift.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher is required, or obtained within 3 years of hire/transfer.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- 2 years of clinical practice in the specialty unit is required.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
